Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Gear lever adjustment tool -U-40026-
  Note!
t  In order to adjust the gearbox driver correctly, it is necessary to take the following points into account:
t  The vehicle must have its four wheels securely on the ground or on an paralell elevator
t  All gearbox actioning elements must be in perfect working order
t  The gearbox action must be smooth, with no harshness
t  The gearbox, the clutch driver and the clutch, must be in perfect condition
l  Gearbox in neutral

–  Loosen the clamp -arrow- and separate the control rod from the angled finger.
–  Check that the control rod can be moved freely within the angled finger.
–  Remove the frame cover and turn over.
–  Gearstick in nuetral.

–  The gear lever eccentric adjuster -A- should be facing the reverse hook -arrow-.
  V34-2997
–  Fit tool -U-40026- without using force, so that the guide lug -arrow 1- fits into the groove in the tool and the gear lever hook fits into the tool orifice -arrow 2-.
–  The tool must not get jammed.
–  Align the control rod and the angled finger without using force.
  Note!
Check that the geabox has no gear selected (neutral).

–  Tighten the securing nut of the clamp -arrow-.
–  Remove tool -U-40026-.
–  Check gearbox action → Chapter
Tightening torque
Control rod clip: 20 Nm
