Selector lever cables: Removing and installing Detaching –  Remove the gear selection mechanism → Chapter.

–  With a screwdriver, open the tabs -arrows- of the gear selection mechanism base plate and remove this. –  Remove gasket.

–  Remove safety washers -1 ... 4- and remove gearbox and selection control cables from the gear change mechanism casing.

Unhook control cable locking device -A- for gearbox and selection control cables -B- as follows: –  Press moveable sleeve forwards as far as it will go -arrow 1-. –  Move as far as possible -arrow 2- and turn right to fix it in place. –  Remove securing elements from control cables.

–  Remove safety washers -1- and -2-. –  Remove support from control cables. Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:

–  Secure gearbox and selection control cables in gear change mechanism casing with safety washers -1 ... 4-.

–  Fit gasket to base plate by folding tabs -arrows- on gear selector mechanism. –  Install the gear selector mechanism → Chapter. –  Adjust selector mechanism → Chapter.
