Removing and installing throttle valve module -J338- t  Removing → Anchor t  Installing → Anchor Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Torque wrench -VAG 1410-, see equivalent → Anchor.

t  Base -VAS 6340-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing –  Extract the bolts -1- and remove the retaining clip. –  Disconnect the connector -2- in the charge pressure sender -G31- with the input air temperature sender 2 -G299-. –  Release the retainer in the direction of the -arrow- and first remove the pressure pipe -3- from the throttle valve module -J338- and then from the exhaust gas turbocharger.

–  Unplug the connector -1- from the throttle valve module -J338-. –  Unscrew the fastening bolts -2- and remove the throttle valve module -3-from the intake manifold. Installing –  Place a new seal on the throat of the intake manifold.

–  Place the throttle control unit -3 - together with the adapter -2- and the fastening bolts -1- on the intake manifold -4-.

–  Tighten securing bolts -2- to 7 Nm. –  Connect the electrical connection -1- to the throttle valve control unit -3-.   Note Apply a little engine oil to the O-rings on the turbocharger and the pressure pipe before fitting. –  Connect pressure pipe -3- to turbocharger.

–  Press pressure pipe -3- on throttle control unit. The fixing clamps must engage with a click. –  Tighten the securing bolts -1- of the retaining clips to 7 Nm. –  Connect the electrical connector -2- to the supercharger pressure sender -G31- using the intake air temperature sensor 2 -G299-. If a new throttle control unit has been fitted: –  Erase the adaptive values and adapt the engine control unit -J623- to the throttle control unit, → Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051„Guided function“
