t
Brake tester -V.A.G 1310A-
Before starting:
Make sure that the brake system (master cylinder, brake hoses, brake lines and brake callipers) works properly and is free of leaks.
High-pressure test:
–
Remove the bleeding bolt from one of the front brake callipers. Connect the brake system tester -V.A.G 1310A- and then bleed the system.
–
Insert brake pedal actuator -V.A.G 1869/2- between brake pedal and driver's seat.
–
Apply pressure to brake pedal until the gauge indicates a pressure of 50 bar.
The pressure must not drop by more than 4 bar within the test period of 45 seconds.
Renew hydraulic unit if drop in pressure exceeds the above figure.
Low-pressure test:
–
Retract the brake pedal block -VAG 1869/2- until the pressure gauge indicates 6 bar of pressure.
–
The pressure should not drop by more than 1 bar within the test period of 3 minutes.
