Oil level: Check
Oil level: Check
  Note
t  The oil level must be checked with the dipstick of the bolt cap through the reservoir of the electro-hydraulic pump unit.
t  To check do not use the “MAX” and “MIN” marks on the reservoir.
t  Do not reuse hydraulic oil.
t  Use hydraulic oil -G 002 000-.
–  Depending on the engine, to access the hydraulic oil tank the battery and its support must be dismounted → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.27 .
   
–  Unscrew the plug -1- from the electro-hydraulic pump unit -2-.
–  Wipe the oil dipstick with a clean rag.
–  Screw the plug in manually and then unscrew it once more.
The measurement is only valid when the cap is screwed in.
Oil cold:
–  Engine should be off and front wheels straight.
–  Checking oil level .

The oil should be between the lower mark -arrow A- and the higher -arrow B- on the dipstick.
  Note
t  If the oil level is above the mark -arrow B-, remove some oil.
t  If the oil level is below the indicated level, the hydraulic system must be checked for leaks → Chapter. It is therefore not sufficient to merely top up the oil. It is then not sufficient to merely top up the oil.
t  Do not reuse hydraulic oil.
–  If the hydraulic system is hermetic, refill with oil.
–  Fit the threaded cap on the electro-hydraulic pump unit reservoir by hand.
Oil at operating temperature (from approx. 50 ºC)
–  Allow the engine (front wheels straight ahead) to run in idle (about 2 minutes).
–  Stop engine and disconnect ignition.
–  Checking oil level .

The oil should be between the lower mark -arrow A- and the higher -arrow B- on the dipstick.
An oil level above the upper mark -arrow B- is acceptable when the oil is at working temperature.
  Note
t  Do not extract hydraulic oil when the level is above the upper mark -arrow B-!
t  If the oil level is below the indicated level, the hydraulic system must be checked for leaks → Chapter. It is therefore not sufficient to merely top up the oil. It is then not sufficient to merely top up the oil.
t  Do not reuse hydraulic oil.
–  If the hydraulic system is hermetic, refill with oil.
–  Fit the threaded cap on the electro-hydraulic pump unit reservoir by hand.
–  Depending on the motorization, install the battery and its bracket → Electric system; Rep. Gr. 27.
