Power steering box: adjustment
Two mechanics are required for the adjustment. Perform adjustment with engine switched off.
–  Raise vehicle on lifting platform.
–  Wheels in straight-ahead position.
–  If there is excessive play in the steering, a knocking noise will be audible when the steering wheel is turned backwards and forwards (about 30° either side of centre position.
   
–  A second mechanic carefully turns the setting screw -arrow- until the flapping noise in the vehicle interior is no longer audible.
–  Take vehicle for a test drive.
–  See that the steering returns to the straight ahead position freely by itself after a steering manoeuvre or after going round a curve.
