Replacing crankshaft seal on belt pulley side > < For engines with identification characters AZQ, BME
Removing and installing gasket rings and flywheel
   
Removing and installing gasket rings and flywheel
  Note
t  Repairs to the clutch → Gearbox; Rep. gr.30.
t  Secure the engine with the engine and gearbox mount -MP1-202- and on the assembly stand -MP9-101- before performing assembly work.
1 - 150 Nm + torque a further 180° (1/4 turn)
q   replace
q   interlock the crankshaft with fixing bolt -T10121- for removing and installing → Chapter
2 - Belt pulley - crankshaft
3 - Housing
q   replace together with O-ring (Pos. 4)
q   Replace silicone sealant sealing with O-Ring (Pos. 4)
q   fit onto cleaned crankshaft
4 - O-ring
q   replace if damaged
q   replace the sealing of the housing with silicone sealant
5 - Sealing ring
q   for crankshaft on the belt pulley side
q   Neither grease nor oil sealing lip of gasket ring
q   before installing remove grease residue on the housing with a clean cloth
q   replace if damaged → Chapter
q   replace together with housing (Pos. 3)
6 - Cylinder block
7 - 60 Nm + torque a further 90° (1/4 turn)
q   replace
q   tighten up in two steps:
   Stage I = 60 Nm
   Step II = 90° (1/4 turn)
8 - Flywheel
q   Assembly only possible in one position (holes offset)
q   Interlock crankshaft flywheel with a fixing bolt -T10121- for removing and installing it → Chapter
9 - Intermediate plate
q   must be positioned on dowel sleeves
q   do not damage/bend during assembly work
10 - Sealing ring
q   replace → Chapter
q   for crankshaft on the flywheel side
q   Neither grease nor oil sealing lip of gasket ring
q   before installing, remove grease residues on the crankshaft journal with a clean cloth
