1 - Radiator
q   after replacing fill entire system with fresh coolant
q   removing and installing → Chapter
2 - O-ring
q   replace
3 - Top coolant hose
q   secured using a retaining clip
q   connection diagram for coolant hoses → Chapter
4 - Fan shroud
5 - 10 Nm
6 - Auxiliary fan
q   for vehicles with air conditioning system or additional equipment
7 - Fan holder
8 - Retaining clip
q   for fan cable
q   check tightness
9 - Connector
10 - Radiator fan
11 - to coolant pipe
q   connection diagram for coolant hoses → Chapter
12 - Expansion reservoir
q   Inspect cooling system with tester, e.g. -V.A.G 1274- and adapter -V.A.G 1274/8- for leaks.
13 - Cap
q   inspect using the testing device -V.A.G 1274- and adapter -V.A.G 1274/9-
q   Overpressure of 1.4...1.6 bar
14 - Support
q   for fan connector
15 - Bottom coolant hose
q   attached to radiator with retaining clip
q   connection diagram for coolant hoses → Chapter
16 - O-ring
q   replace
17 - Thermo-switch -F18-, 35 Nm
q   for radiator fan
q   switching temperatures:
1. Stage
on: 92...97°C
off: 84...91°C
2. Stage
on: 99...105°C
off: 91...98°C
18 - Support
q   for radiator
q   Check fitting position
q   pay attention to different version
19 - 10 Nm
