Removing and installing switch for remote release/fuel tank cap
Removing and installing switch for remote release/fuel tank cap
  WARNING
Disconnect earth strap from the battery before commencing work on the electrical system.
  Note
t  Before disconnecting the battery determine the code of radio sets fitted with anti-theft coding.
t  After connecting the battery, perform the following:
–  on vehicles with radio encoding, carry out the coding,
–  re-set clock,
–  initialise power windows on vehicles fitted with power windows → Octavia.
Removing - version I.
   
–  Carefully unclip the switch for remote release/fuel tank cap -arrows- upwards.
–  Disconnect plug connection at switch.
Install
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Removing - version Il.
  S96-0069
–  Carefully lever the switch for remote release/fuel tank cap out of the centre dash panel with a small screwdriver.
–  Disconnect plug connection at switch.
Install
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
