Intake manifold - Summary of components
1 - Fuel-intake hose
q   secure with spring strap clamps
q   check for firm seating
2 - Distributor
q   clipped in place on the vacuum valve for crankcase ventilation
3 - O-ring
q   replace
4 - Fuel pressure sender for low pressure -G410 -
q   Tightening torque: 6 Nm
q   mounted up to 05.05
5 - Fuel-intake hose
q   to fuel-high pressure pump
6 - Throttle valve control unit -J338-
q   If replacing, adjust the engine control unit to the throttle valve control unit → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051
q   clean throttle valve control unit -J338- → Chapter
7 - 7 Nm
8 - Gasket ring
q   replace
9 - Ventilation hose
10 - Activated charcoal filter solenoid valve 1 -N80-
q   attached with bracket to the intake manifold
11 - Ventilation hose
q   from the activated charcoal filter system → Chapter
12 - Intake manifold
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   check vacuum reservoir in the intake manifold for tightness → Chapter
13 - 8 Nm
14 - 5 Nm
15 - Connecting tube
q   to exhaust gas recirculation valve → Chapter
16 - 8 Nm
17 - High pressure line
q   removing and installing → Chapter
18 - Fuel pressure sender -G247-, 22 Nm
q   before removing, release pressure in the high pressure part of the fuel system → Chapter
q   before installing, moisten thread and sealing cone with clean engine oil
19 - 20 Nm
20 - Fuel distributor (bottom part of intake manifold)
q   with an intake manifold flap
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   before removing, lock the vacuum setting element for intake manifold flap with a 2.5 mm drill
q   After installing a new fuel distributor remove the retaining clips of the vacuum setting element
q   Do not unscrew or tighten the screw neck for the high pressure line (it is glued)
21 - Gasket
q   replace
q   pay attention to correct installation position
22 - Potentiometer for intake manifold flap -G336-
q   when replacing, adapt the engine control unit → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051
23 - 1.5 Nm
24 - Vacuum setting element for intake manifold flap
q   check → Chapter
25 - 10 Nm
26 - Intake manifold pressure sender -G71- and intake air temperature sender -G42-
27 - 1.5 Nm
28 - Intake manifold flap valve -N316-
q   check → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051
29 - Vacuum hose
q   to the vacuum setting element for the intake manifold flap
30 - Vacuum hose
q   from the intake manifold
31 - 20 Nm
32 - Fuel return hose
q   from fuel distributor (bottom part of intake manifold)
q   blue or blue marking
q   secure with spring strap clamps
q   check for firm seating
