Removing and installing intake manifold
Removing
  WARNING
Reduce the pressure in the high pressure part of the fuel system → Chapter.
–  Remove engine cover with air filter → Chapter.
   
–  Unplug the electric plug connection from activated charcoal filter system solenoid valve 1 -N80-.

–  Separate the electric plug connection -1- at the throttle valve control unit -J338-.
–  Release the screws -arrows- and remove the throttle valve control unit -J338-.

–  Remove screws -arrows- of the connecting pipe at exhaust-gas recirculation valve -N18- and remove gasket.

–  Pull off the vacuum hose -1- to the activated charcoal filter system solenoid valve 1 -N80- at the intake manifold.
–  Unhook activated charcoal filter system solenoid valve 1 - N80- from the fixtures and lay to the side with connected vacuum hoses.
–  Detach the vacuum line -2- to the brake booster at the intake manifold.
–  Unclip top coolant line at intake manifold -arrows- and lay to the front.

–  Detach the hose -2- for crankcase ventilation at the intake manifold, to do so press the release buttons.
–  Separate the electrical plug connections -1- at the intake manifold pressure sender -G71- and -3- at intake manifold flap valve -N316-

–  Detach the vacuum hose -arrow- at the setting element for the intake manifold flap.
–  Release fixing screws -1- and -2- for intake manifold and lay intake manifold towards the rear.

–  Unscrew the fuel pressure sender -G247--arrow-.
–  Remove the intake manifold towards the top left.
Install
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following:
  Note
t  Make sure that no dirt gets into the intake manifold or the fuel distributor (bottom part of intake manifold).
t  Always replace seals and gasket rings.
–  First of all place the intake manifold to the rear in the engine compartment.

–  Tighten the fuel pressure sender -G247--arrow-.
–  Tighten the intake manifold to the fuel distributor.
