Removing and installing parts of the charge air cooling > < Charge air system with turbocharger

Removing and installing exhaust turbocharger with component parts

Observe rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
  Note
t  The hose connections are secured with corresponding hose clamps.
t  The charge-air system must be tight.
t  Always replace self-locking nuts.
t  Remove oil and grease from the charge pressure hoses and its connections before installing.
   
1 - Exhaust manifold
2 - Gasket
q   replace
q   Check fitting position
3 - Gasket ring
q   replace
4 - Connection fitting, 30 Nm
5 - from oil filter bracket
6 - Oil feed line
q   Tighten to 25 Nm
7 - Coolant return-flow line
q   Tighten to 30 Nm
8 - to the upper coolant pipe
9 - Connection fitting, 35 Nm
10 - Washer
11 - 25 Nm
q   replace
q   coat thread with G 052 112 A3
12 - Hollow screw, 35 Nm
13 - to cylinder block
14 - Hose
q   to the solenoid valve for charge pressure control -N75- → Item
15 - Hollow screw, 35 Nm
16 - Coolant feed line
17 - 10 Nm
18 - Hose
q   to the solenoid valve for charge pressure control -N75- → Item
19 - Hollow screw, 15 Nm
20 - Bracket
q   between turbocharger and the cylinder block
21 - 25 Nm
22 - from air filter
23 - to charge-air cooler
24 - 10 Nm
25 - Screw plug, 15 Nm
26 - Oil return line
q   to oil pan
27 - 10 Nm
28 - Exhaust turbocharger
q   Checking charge pressure control → Chapter
q   charge pressure regulating valve and vacuum setting element are component parts of the exhaust turbocharger and must not be replaced individually.
q   before connecting the oil feed line fill the exhaust turbocharger via the connection fitting with engine oil.
q   After installing the exhaust turbocharger run the engine approx. 1 minute in idle and do not increase speed in order to ensure the supply of lubrication oil to the turbocharger.
29 - 30 Nm
q   replace
q   coat thread with G 052 112 A3
30 - Catalytic converter
31 - 35 Nm
q   replace
q   coat thread and with head contact surface with G 052 112 A3
