Rear Knuckle: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Hoist vehicle and remove wheel.
For Vehicles Not Equipped With Wheel Hub
a. Remove spindle cap as shown (by hammering lightly at 3 locations around it so as not to deform or cause damage to seating part of cap).
b. Stake spindle nut and remove spindle nut and washer.
For Vehicles Equipped With Wheel Hub
a. Remove brake drum screws (2 pcs).
2. Release parking brake lever.
3. Remove parking brake lever cover and loosen parking brake cable locking nut.
