Turbocharging System (X 17 DTL)  

Charge Air Pipe, Remove and Install  

  Remove, Disconnect   

If present: Remove heat shield from turbocharger.   Remove lower charge air hose (3) from charge air pipe (1).   Remove charge air pipe from turbocharger.   Remove fastening bolt (2) and remove charge air pipe downwards.     Install, Connect    Install charge air pipe from below and fasten to cylinder block.   Attach charge air pipe to turbocharger. Attach lower charge air hose to charge air pipe - hose connection must be installed free of grease and oil.   If present: Attach heat shield to turbocharger and return manifold - tightening torque - 8 Nm/6 lbf. ft.
