Attach Dial Gauge MKM-571-B with dial gauge bracket to a front
face of the cylinder block and position probe of dial gauge on
crankshaft. Move crankshaft in longitudinal direction. Perm.
crankshaft end play: 0.100 to 0.102 mm.
Crankshaft Out-of-round, Check
Preconditions: Crankshaft removed and laid loose in the cylinder
block.
Inspect
Attach Dial Gauge MKM-571-B with dial gauge bracket to cylinder
block. Apply probe of the Dial Gauge MKM-571-B to crankshaft
bearing journal. Turn crankshaft uniformly. Max. perm.
out-of-round: 0.03 mm.
Attach crankshaft bearing bridge to cylinder block and to
crankshaft bearing cap – arrow on crankshaft bearing bridge
points to engine timing side – tightening torque 20 Nm / 15
lbf. ft.
Attach crankshaft bearing caps to cylinder block with new bolts
– tightening torque 90 Nm / 66 lbf. ft. + 60° +
15°.
