Fuel Injection Pump, Remove and Install
 Remove
Remove air cleaner housing with air intake hose and hot film
mass air flow meter – see illustration "Air Ducts".
Remove upper part of toothed belt cover – see operation
"Toothed Belt Cover – Upper Part, Remove and Install".
For version with AC: Remove ribbed V-belts – see operation
"Ribbed V-belts, Remove and Install".
Remove V-belt – see operation "V-belt, Remove and
Install".
Remove lower part of toothed belt cover – see operation
"Toothed Belt Cover – Lower Part, Remove and Install".
Remove right engine damping block – see operation "Engine
Damping Block, Right, Remove and Install".
Remove toothed belt – see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove
and Install".

Remove Marker Pin KM-6011.
Remove injection pump pulley (1) from injection pump.
Remove injection lines – see operation "Injection Lines,
Remove and Install".
Detach fuel lines (2) from injection pump – note seal
rings.
Unlock wiring harness plug (3) in direction of arrow and detach
from injection pump.

Remove fastening bolts (1) and (2).
Remove injection pump.

Install
Attach injection pump to injection pump support –
tightening torque – 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft.
Attach injection pump to injection pump bracket –
tightening torque 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft.
Connect wiring harness plug to injection pump and lock.
Attach fuel feed line to injection pump – tightening
torque 22.5 Nm / 16.5 lbf. ft.
Attach fuel return line to injection pump – tightening
torque 22.5 Nm / 16.5 lbf. ft.
Install injection lines – see operation "Injection Lines,
Remove and Install".
Hand tighten injection pump pulley on injection pump flange
– must be possible to rotate injection pump pulley on
injection pump flange.
Mark out injection pump with Marker Pin KM-6011 (2).

Caution
With open-ended spanner on injection pump flange fastening nut,
turn injection pump flange until recess (1) on injection pump
pulley aligns with injection pump flange recess and injection pump
retaining bore (arrow).

Install
Install toothed belt – see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove
and Install".
Install right engine damping block – see operation "Engine
Damping Block, Right, Remove and Install".
Install lower part of toothed belt cover – see operation
"Toothed Belt Cover – Lower Part, Remove and Install".
Install V-belt – see operation "V-belt, Remove and
Install".
For version with AC: Install ribbed V-belt – see operation
"Ribbed V-belt, Remove and Install".
Install upper part of toothed belt cover – see operation
"Toothed Belt Cover – Upper Part, Remove and Install".
Install air cleaner housing with air intake hose and hot film
mass air flow meter – see illustration "Air Ducts".
