Removing and installing inlet manifold upper
section (X 20 DTL, Y 20 DTL, Y 20 DTH up to MY 2003)
 Remove

Remove injection lines - see operation "Removing and installing
injection lines (X 20 DTL, Y 20 DTL, Y 20 DTH up to MY 2003)".
Detach upper part of intake manifold (1) from lower part of
intake manifold.
Caution
The exhaust gas recirculation valve must not be separated from
upper part of intake manifold. The entire assembly must be replaced
if one of the two components is defective.

 Clean
Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket residues.
Install
Attach upper part of intake manifold with new gasket to lower
part of intake manifold – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf.

Install injection lines - see operation "Removing and installing
injection lines (X 20 DTL, Y 20 DTL, Y 20 DTH up to MY 2003)".
