Vacuum Pump, Remove and Install
 Remove
Remove charge air pipe with charge air hose for Y 20 DTH and Y
22 DTR engines - see illustration "Air duct Y 20 DTH up to MY 2003"
and "Air duct Y 20 DTH as of MY 2003, Y 22 DTR".

Detach brake servo vacuum line (2) and vacuum hose (3) from
vacuum pump.
Remove fastening bolts (1) from both engine transport shackles.
Press fuel lines out of brackets and route wiring harness bracket
with wiring harness aside downwards.
Remove fastening bolts (4) and remove vacuum pump from cylinder
head.

 Clean
Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket residues.
Install
Attach vacuum pump with new seal ring to cylinder head –
tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.
Attach wiring harness bracket to both engine transport shackles
and insert fuel lines in brackets.
Connect vacuum hose to vacuum pump.
Attach brake servo vacuum line to vacuum pump.
Install charge air pipe with charge air hose for Y 20 DTH and Y
22 DTR engines - see illustration "Air duct Y 20 DTH up to MY 2003"
and "Air duct Y 20 DTH as of MY 2003, Y 22 DTR".
