Knock Sensor, Remove and Install
Remove
For X 16 SZR engine: Remove air intake cover with air intake hose – see illustration "Air Ducts (X 16 SZR)".
Disconnect wiring harness plug for knock sensor (1) and remove from bracket – lay cable bundle out of the way.
Remove knock sensor (2) from cylinder block.
Caution
The recommended torque value for the knock sensor must be observed, otherwise malfunctions can arise.
Install
Attach knock sensor to cylinder block – tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.
Connect wiring harness plug for knock sensor and attach in bracket – note cable routing.
For X 16 SZR engine: Install air intake cover with air intake hose – see illustration "Air Ducts (X 16 SZR)".
