Crankshaft Pulse Pick-up, Remove and Install
 Remove
Remove air cleaner housing – see illustration "Air Duct (X
20 XEV, X 20 XER)".
For Z 20 LET engine: Remove air cleaner housing with air intake
pipe – see illustration "Air Cleaner Housing (Z 20 LET)".
For X 20 XEV or X 20 XER engine with air conditioning,
respectively: Remove oil dipstick guide tube – see operation
"Oil Dip Stick Guide Tube, Remove and Install".

Separate wiring harness plug from crankshaft pulse pickup (1)
and unclip from bracket. Clip off crankshaft pulse pickup cable
from cylinder head cover – note cable routing.
Remove crankshaft pulse pick-up (2) with seal ring from cylinder
block.

Install
Attach crankshaft pulse pick-up to cylinder block with new seal
ring – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.
Clip on wiring harness plug to crankshaft pulse pickup –
note cable routing. Join wiring harness plug to crankshaft pulse
pickup and clip onto bracket.
For X 20 XEV or X 20 XER engine with air conditioning,
respectively: Install oil dipstick guide tube – see operation
"Oil Dip Stick Guide Tube, Remove and Install".
For Z 20 LET engine: Install air cleaner housing with air intake
pipe – see illustration "Air Duct (Z 20 LET)".
Install air cleaner housing – see illustration "Air Duct
(X 20 XEV, X 20 XER)".
