Injectors, X 18 XE1 The injectors in the X 18 XE1 are equipped with 2-hole nozzles with one jet for each intake valve. The dual-jet injector with multi-hole metering is equipped with a spray-aperture disc (2 calibrated bore holes). The apertures are precisely aligned to produce two injection jets. As the X 18 XE1 is not fitted with fuel return equipment, the injectors operate at an increased pressure (3.8 bar) to compensate for fuel condensation or evaporation on starting.
