Converter and/or Fluid Pump Seal Ring, Replace (AF
13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)
 Remove
|
Remove transmission – see operations: "Transmission,
Remove and Install (AF 13-II/AF 17)", "Transmission, Remove and
Install (AF 20)" or "Transmission, Remove and Install (AF 22)".
Pull converter from transmission with KM-574 (M8) or KM-899
(M10) (arrows).
Fluid escapes – place pan underneath.

Remove seal ring from transmission with KM-J-7004 (1) and KM-586
(2).
Install
Drive in new seal ring flush with KM-674 (3).

Insert converter in transmission (with KM-574 or KM-899) –
converter must sit perfectly and engage in guide.
Measure
Measure distance between converter
contact thread and transmission housing contact surface with
calliper gauge (1).

approx. 12 mm

Distance dimensions AF 20/AF 22:
|
approx 13 mm
|

Install
Install transmission – see operation "Transmission, Remove
and Install (AF 13-II/AF 17)", "Transmission, Remove and Install
(AF 20)" or "Transmission, Remove and Install (AF 22)".
