 Remove
Remove valve body – see operation "Valve Body, Remove and
Install (Transmission Removed) (AF 20)".
Remove rear valve body – see operation "Valve Body,
Disassembly and Reassemble (AF 20)".
Caution
All parts must be laid aside in such a way that they cannot be
interchanged to ensure correct functioning when assembly is
complete. Replacement parts are not available; if lost, completely
replace valve body.
Disassemble
Remove all of the parts from the valve body that are shown or
indicated in the survey.
 Clean
Clean and dry all parts, then lubricate lightly. Replace seal
rings.
Inspect
Check all removed parts for damage, wear, rust and deformation
– replace complete valve body if necessary. All pistons and
valves must fit in valve body free of play – replace entire
valve body if necessary.
Assemble
Install all parts depicted or shown in the survey with new
gaskets in valve body.
Cover No. 1 and No. 2 – tightening torque 7 Nm / 5 lbf.

Install rear valve body – see operation "Valve Body,
Disassembly and Reassemble (AF 20)".
Install valve body – see operation "Valve Body, Remove and
Install (Transmission Removed) (AF 20)".
