Triple-Info-Display (TID) and Multi-Info-Display (MID) The operation and design of the Triple-Info-Display (TID) and the Multi-Info-Display (MID) largely correspond to the units in the Astra-F and Sintra. The TID and MID are installed in the instrument panel console, above the centre mixed air nozzles.

Check Control The check control function monitors the fluid levels, brake lining thicknesses of the front disk brakes, the function of the automatic transmission and vital exterior illumination lamps, including their leads and fuses. In the case of the light monitoring, a fault will only be displayed when the relevant circuit is switched on. Board computer The board computer is actuated by two buttons on the wiper lever. When the button is pressed, the following functions appear on the display:
• Current fuel consumption • Average fuel consumption • Overall fuel consumption • Average speed • Distance travelled • Range • Stopwatch

• Service To remove the TID or MID, first remove the instrument panel console padding. The TID and MID are fastened to the instrument panel console padding with two screws. The TID is connected to the instrument panel wiring harness by a 12-pin wiring harness plug, and the MID by a 32-pin wiring harness plug. The bulbs for the illumination are on the rear side of each unit.
