Non-activated airbag driver's side, replace
 Remove
| 1. |
Note: In vehicles with
Open and Start, care must be taken that the steering column does
not lock before the battery is disconnected

Wait 1 minute for airbag to deactivate
|
| 4. |
Remove airbag
| • |
Turn steering wheel 90° (I)
|
| • |
Push retaining wire in direction of steering column using small
screwdriver in service opening (II) and remove airbag module
Note: Ensure that the
retaining wire is not bent

Release and disconnect wiring harness plug
|
|
|
|
Install
| 5. |
Install airbag
| • |
Connect and latch wiring harness plug
|
|
| 6. |
Perform readiness check
|
| 8. |
Program volatile memories
|
