Replace moulded headlining - L69

  Remove

1.   Disconnect battery
2.   Detach A-pillar inner panelling - both sides
•   Unclip panel (1)
Note:   Only for vehicles with curtain airbag.
•   Unclip clip
•   Remove inner panelling A-pillar

3.   Detach front seatbelt fastening (1) - both sides
•   Unclip and remove panel upwards (arrow)
•   Unscrew bolt (2)

4.   Detach B-pillar inner panelling - both sides
•   Unclip panel (1)
Note:   Only for vehicles with curtain airbag.
•   Remove lower B-pillar panel in upper area and remove upper B-pillar panel
– Unclip 6x clips (2)
•   Remove B inner panelling

5.   Detach C-pillar inner panelling - left side LUREF_1.gif
6.   Detach upper C-pillar inner panelling - left side LUREF_1.gif
7.   Detach sun visor - both sides
•   Unscrew 2x bolt
•   Unclip sun visor from support and remove

8.   Remove left sun visor support
•   Prise out main bracket wedge and remove main bracket
Note:   Spring of main bracket is not secured and may fall down.

9.   Remove handles in moulded headlining
•   Open panel (arrow)
•   Unscrew 2x bolt

10.   Remove rear interior lamp
•   Unclip interior light with plastic wedge
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug.
11.   Detach interior light operating unit
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug.
•   Unscrew 2x bolt

12.   Loosen and remove surrounding moulded headlining
Note:   2nd mechanic required.
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug.
•   Disconnect 6x velcro fasteners (arrows)

  Install

13.   Insert moulded headlining
Note:   2nd mechanic required.
•   Connect wiring harness plug
•   Join 6x Velcro fasteners
14.   Fasten moulded headlining all the way round
•   Place moulded headlining in door rubber strip weatherstrip
15.   Fasten interior light operating unit
•   Connect wiring harness plug
•   Tighten 2x bolts
16.   Install handles in moulded headlining
•   Tighten 2x bolts
•   Close panel
17.   Attach sun visor support - both sides
Note:   Install wedge with groove downwards
18.   Attach sun visor - both sides
•   Clip sun visor into main bracket
•   Tighten 2x bolts
19.   Attach C-pillar inner panelling - right side LUREF_1.gif
20.   Attach C-pillar inner panelling - left side LUREF_1.gif
21.   Attach B-pillar inner panelling - both sides
•   Place B-pillar inner panelling, clip in upper B-pillar panelling in lower B-pillar panelling
22.   Attach seat belt to front seat - both sides
•   Tighten bolt 20 Nm
Note:   Use screw locking compound
23.   Attach front seatbelt securing panel - both sides
•   Clip in panel
24.   Install A-pillar moulding - both sides
•   Unclip panelling
•   Clip in panel in A-pillar moulding
Note:   Only for vehicles with curtain airbag.
25.   Connect battery
26.   Program volatile memories
