Replace camshaft sensor

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.  
1. Remove air cleaner housing - Z16XEP LUREF_1.gif
2. Remove air cleaner housing - Z16XE1 LUREF_1.gif

3.   Detach front toothed belt cover (top) (1)
•   Unscrew 2x bolts (2)
•   Release upper catch (3)
•   Pull front toothed belt cover (top) upwards by cast projection (arrow), applying slight tension

4.   Unscrew bolt, camshaft sensor (1)
•   Turn crankshaft until accessibility is guaranteed for bolt

5.   Remove camshaft sensor
•   Disconnect wiring harness connector.
•   Take out camshaft sensor (1) by turning it

  Install

6.   Install camshaft sensor
•   Insert camshaft sensor
•   Tighten bolt 6 Nm
•   Fix wiring harness plug
7.   Attach front toothed belt cover (top)
Important:   Ensure that it is latched correctly
•   Tighten 2x bolt 6 Nm
8.  
1. Install air cleaner housing - Z16XEP LUREF_1.gif
2. Install air cleaner housing - Z16XE1 LUREF_1.gif

9.   Close bonnet
