Practical tips

The result of painting small difficult parts often depends on small details in preparation. These usually take very little time, which is often not realised. The following tips should be regarded as suggestions only. They are based on painting procedures.

Omega-B door handle:

Since the actuating shaft is caulked, the door handle cannot be dismantled without destroying it.

Tip:

Lightly rub the surfaces with sanding mat. Lift the handle up out of its recess. Clean it. Detach springs. Open the handle against the shell. In this position, hold the shell down with adhesive paper. Prime and paint.

Trim strips (screwed or bonded)

Do not lay trim strips directly on the support.

Colour will be missing at the contact points.

Tip:

Before painting, raise the strip 30 or 40mm above the support.

Packing material is suitable for this.

Secure the strip and e.g. rigid foam with adhesive tape.
