Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Vacuum Tank Replacement (with Start/Stop System)Removal Procedure

1. | Disconnect battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . |
2. | Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . |
3. | If equipped remove the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement . |
4. | If equipped remove the front compartment splash shield. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement . |
5. | If equipped remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement . |
6. | Unclip the generator wiring harness clip from the exhaust gas recirculation valve vacuum tank (2). |
7. | Remove the turbocharger waste gate actuator hose (1). |
8. | Remove the turbocharger waste gate actuator pipe (4). |
9. | Remove the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve vacuum tank bolts (3). |
10. | Remove the exhaust gas recirculation valve vacuum tank (2). |
Installation Procedure
1. | Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve vacuum tank (2). |
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution . |
2. | Install the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve vacuum tank bolts (3) and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft) . |
3. | Install the turbocharger waste gate actuator pipe (4). |
4. | Install the turbocharger waste gate actuator hose (1). |
5. | Clip in the generator wiring harness clip to the exhaust gas recirculation valve vacuum tank (2). |
6. | If equipped install the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement . |
7. | If equipped install the front compartment splash shield. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement . |
8. | If equipped install the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement . |
9. | Lower the vehicle. |
10. | Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . |
