Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
3. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

4. Remove the vacuum hose (2) from the exhaust gas recirculation valve cooler actuator.
5. Unclip the vacuum hose (2) from the retainer clip (3) and hang aside.
6. Unclip the retainer (4).
7. Loosen the 2 clamps (1, 5).

8. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation hose (1) from the charge air cooler inlet pipe (3) and hang aside.
9. Remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe bolt (2).
10. Remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe (3) in conjunction with the clamp in top direction.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the charge air cooler inlet pipe (3) in conjunction with the clamp from top direction.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .
2. Install the charge air cooler inlet pipe bolt (2) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in) .
3. Install the positive crankcase ventilation hose (1) to the charge air cooler inlet pipe (3).

4. Tighten the 2 clamps (1, 5) to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in) .
5. Install the retainer (4).
6. Install the vacuum hose (2) to the retainer clip (3).
7. Install the vacuum hose (2) to the exhaust gas recirculation valve cooler actuator.
8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
9. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
10. Close the hood.
