Preliminary Procedures

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to . Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to . Cooling System Draining and Filling
3. Remove the heated oxygen sensor 1. Refer to . Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Sensor 1
4. Unclip the engine control module.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten
8 N·m (71 lb in)
