Radiator Outlet Pipe Replacement (2.0L Diesel LBQ, LBR, LBS, and LBX)

Component Name

Open the hood.

Drain the cooling system. Refer to . Cooling System Draining and Filling

Remove the air cleaner outlet front duct. Refer to . Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct Replacement

Remove the air cleaner outlet rear duct. Refer to . Air Cleaner Outlet Rear Duct Replacement

Remove the upper radiator outlet hose clamp and hang the hose aside.

GE-47622 Hose Clamp Pliers .

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Radiator Outlet Pipe Bolt (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten
9 N·m ( 80 lb in)

Radiator Outlet Pipe Gasket

Remove and install a NEW radiator outlet pipe gasket prior installation of the pipe.

Radiator Outlet Pipe

Place an impounding basin underneath.
