Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (1.6L LLU)

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the turbocharger air inlet adapter. Refer to Turbocharger Air Inlet Adapter Replacement .
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
4. Place a drip pan underneath.
5. Remove the oil drain bolt.
6. Drain the engine oil into the drip pan.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .
7. Install the NEW seal ring and the oil drain bolt, tighten to 14 N·m (124 lb in) .

8. Loosen the turbocharger oil return hose clamp (5).
9. Remove the turbocharger oil return hose (1) from the oil level indicator tube (6).
10. Lower the vehicle.

11. Remove the oil dipstick (2).
12. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt (3).
13. Remove the oil level indicator tube (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the oil level indicator tube (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .
2. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt (3) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in) .
3. Install the oil dipstick (2).
4. Raise the vehicle.

5. Install the turbocharger oil return hose (1) to the oil level indicator tube (6).
6. Install the turbocharger oil return hose clamp (5).
7. Install the turbocharger air inlet adapter. Refer to Turbocharger Air Inlet Adapter Replacement .
8. Fill the engine oil. For engine oil specifications, refer to Engine Mechanical Specifications .
9. Close the hood.
