Crankshaft Pulley Replacement

Special Tools

•  EN-662-C   Bracket
•  CH-161-B   Bearing Puller

For equivalent regional tools refer to Special Tools .

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
3. Install the EN-662-C   bracket in order to fix the crankshaft pulley.
4. Loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt while holding up the crankshaft pulley.

5. Install the CH-161-B   bearing puller (2) and detach the crankshaft pulley (1).

6. Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt (3) and the washer (4).
7. Remove the crankshaft pulley (2) and the crankshaft pulley plate (1).

Installation Procedure

1. The cam (1) and the notch (2) must align.

2. Install the crankshaft pulley plate (1).
3. Install the crankshaft pulley (2).
4. Install the EN-662-C   bracket in order to fix the crankshaft pulley.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .
5. Install the crankshaft pulley bolt (3) and the washer (4) and tighten to 196 N·m (145 lb ft) while holding up the crankshaft pulley.
