Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Installation (1.7L Diesel LPL, LPV and LUB)

1. Clean the sealing surfaces.
2. Install a NEW thermostat housing sealing (1).
3. Install the thermostat housing (2).
4. Loosely install the 2 thermostat housing nuts (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .
5. Install the thermostat housing bolt (6) and tighten to 24 N·m (18 lb ft) .
6. Tighten the thermostat housing nuts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft) .
7. Install the bracket (5) and the bracket nut (4) and tighten to 12 N·m (106 lb in) .
