Camshaft Housing Installation

Clean the sealing
surfaces. |

Inspect the camshaft housing
cylinder deck sealing surface for flatness. Use a straightedge.
Refer to
Engine Mechanical Specifications . If the camshaft housing (2)
is out of specification, replace the camshaft housing. DO NOT
machine the camshaft housing. |
| 3. |
Install a NEW camshaft housing
gasket (3). |
| 4. |
Install the camshaft
housing. |
| 5. |
Install the 10 camshaft
housing bolts (1). |
| 6. |
Tighten the 10 camshaft
housing bolts in a sequence as shown to 22 N·m (16
lb ft) . |
