Camshaft Timing Pulley Replacement

Special Tools

•  EN-6347   Holding Tool
•  EN-956-1   Extension

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .

3. Install EN-6347   holding tool (3) and EN-956-1   extension (2) in order to fix the camshaft.
4. Loosen the camshaft pulley bolt (1) while holding up the camshaft pulley.

5. Remove the camshaft pulley bolt (3) and the washer (2).
6. Remove the camshaft pulley (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the camshaft pulley (1).
2. Install the camshaft pulley bolt (3) and the washer (2).

3. Align the notch (2) exactly over the locating stud (1).
  Install EN-6347   holding tool (3) and EN-956-1   extension (2) in order to fix the camshaft pulley.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .
4. Tighten the camshaft pulley bolt (1) to 111 N·m (82 lb ft) while holding up the camshaft pulley.
5. Install the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
6. Close the hood.
