REPAIR OPERATIONS ON ABS

Hydraulic Unit, Remove and Install

Disconnect ground cable from battery.

Top up brake fluid reservoir to Max and close with blind screw cap.

Unscrew cover from hydraulic unit.

Unscrew brake lines from hydraulic unit and close openings.

Remove wiring harness plug from plug base, press together catch (arrow) while doing this.

When replacing the hydraulic unit, remove both relays.

Loosen fastening bolts from bracket.

Disconnect ground cable from hydraulic unit and pull unit upwards and out.

Install in reverse order.

Torques:

Hydraulic unit to bracket             - 8 Nm/5.90 lbf. ft.

Brake lines union nuts                - 11 Nm/8.11 lbf. ft.

Carry out function check.
