Pressure Relief Valve in Oil Circulation System, Replace

Remove core plug.

Make hole in core plug using suitable drift. Turn in self-tapping screw and pry out core plug using pincers supported on cylinder head.

Close off oil duct in cylinder head with cleaning rag. Destroy relief valve cage (arrow).

To do this, insert hook in valve cage and pull cage out using KM-469-13-A.

Remove ball, spring and remaining parts.

Cut three turns of thread in ball seat using M 10 drill tap, stage III.

Lightly coat drill tap with grease to catch cuttings.

Screw in M 10 threaded part of Kukko extractor and pull out valve seat.

Insert new relief valve in suitable pipe and drive into valve seat until firmly seated.

Drive core plug into cylinder head as far as end of chamfer using suitable pipe.
