Tie Rod End, Replace One

 

Remove

 

Press tie rod end out of steering arm using KM-507-C.

 

Loosen bolt of tie rod end clamp flange.

 

Unscrew tie rod end from adjustment pin and replace.

 

Object Number: 2381970  Size: DEFAULT

 

 

Install

 

Screw new tie rod end on to adjustment pin and tighten - observe prescribed torque.

 

Note different left and right versions (looking in direction of travel).

 

Right hand version is marked "R".

Screw in to same depth as tie rod.

The ball joint is maintenance free.

 

Fasten tie rod end to steering arm - observe prescribed torque.

Use new self-locking nut.

 

Adjust toe-out (see operation in Group E).
