Engine timing - Z 10 XEP, Z 12 XE and Z 14 XEP

The camshaft drive pulleys were modified in the above-mentioned 2nd generation engines in combination with the crankshaft pulley in model year 2004..

The 2nd generation camshaft drive pulleys and crankshaft pulley are no longer compatible with the 1st generation camshaft drive pulleys and crankshaft pulley.

If a 1st generation camshaft drive pulley or crankshaft pulley is replaced, the camshaft drive pulleys and crankshaft pulley must be replaced with 2nd generation pulleys as a set.

The new 2nd generation camshaft drive pulleys and crankshaft pulley are compatible with the 1st generation X 10 XE, Z 10 XE and X 12 XE engines.

The installation position of the thrust washer must be noted when installing the 2nd generation camshaft drive pulleys.

The support surface with the greater diameter must point toward the camshaft drive pulley.
