Corsa C

Ignition, Primary, Z14XE, Z16XE, Z16YNG

 

Objective:

Analysis of the primary voltage generated in the engine control unit.

Measurement:

Plot of the primary voltage with the engine idling (single display).

Preparation:

Caution - high voltage! Observe safety advice! Engine oil temperature greater than 80°C .

Connections:

INPUT A

COM/TRIGGER

INPUT B

Connect the red measurement lead to terminal A, B, C or D of the ignition coil plug. Connect the black ground lead to ground.

 

 

Procedure Tech 31:

1. Download Reference curve.
2. Start the engine and allow it to idle.

2. Start engine and allow it to idle.
