Cause of Fault:

(If nominal value is not attained)

·   Disconnect wiring harness plug from pressure assy. switch S20

·   Ignition ON

·   TECH 1 parameter A/C INFORMAT. SW

INACTIVE 0V

·   Short circuit to voltage

from:      wiring harness plug for DDE control unit K70 Ter. 44

to:          wiring harness plug for pressure assy. switch S20 Ter. 1

to:          wiring harness plug for AC compressor speed relay K60 Ter. 8

·   AC compressor speed relay K60 defective (see also test step 15 and Checking Procedures, Air Conditioning)

·   DDE control unit K70 defective

·   Bridge wiring harness plug for pressure assy. switch S20 with electrically fused jumper

from:      wiring harness plug for pressure assy. switch S20 Ter. 1

to:          battery positive terminal Ter. 30

·   TECH 1 parameter A/C INFORMAT. SW

ACTIVE  12V

·   Short circuit to ground

from:      wiring harness plug for DDE control unit K70 Ter. 44

to:          wiring harness plug for pressure assy. switch S20 Ter. 1

to:          wiring harness plug for AC compressor speed relay K60 Ter. 8

·   Circuit interruption

from:      wiring harness plug for DDE control unit K70 Ter. 44

to:          wiring harness plug for pressure assy. switch S20 Ter. 1

·   AC compressor speed relay K60 defective (see also test step 15 and Checking Procedures, Air Conditioning)

·   DDE control unit K70 defective

If nominal values are attained

·   Fault in air conditioning circuit (see Checking Procedures, Air Conditioning)
