There is just one transmission control unit part number for vehicles with petrol engines

Therefore, after replacement of the transmission control unit, reprogram the engine type in the transmission control unit to adapt the shift curves and characteristic curves to each engine.

Press F7 in the system main menu. Follow instructions in the TECH 1 display.

Select engine installed from the TECH 1 menu.

TECH 1 compares the identification data stored in the engine control unit with the data stored in the transmission control unit for this version.

The TECH 1 display on this page indicates that the version programmed up to now (for new parts, unprogrammed version) does not suit the engine installed

Note:

If TECH 1 recognizes that the transmission / engine combination wanted is already present, reprogramming is omitted.
