Two versions of the automatic transmission are installed

AR 25:   with 2.0 litre and 2.5 litre engines.

AR 35:   with 3.0 litre engines.

The identification plate (1) is attached on the left side of the transmission, above the selector lever position switch.

The most important information on the identification plate is the transmission code (1). It provides clear differentiation between the individual transmission models.

The productions part number (2) provides information about the internal transmission design

(see Service Instructions).

The production part number details all parts that are involved in matching the transmission to the vehicle and the engine to provide optimal shift quality and performance. It is therefore vital that the production number be specified in case of enquiries regarding repair work.

Without precise details of the production part number, it is impossible to make exact statements about the complaint.
