Cooling Loop, Replace (Vehicles with LHD)
 Remove
Remove battery. Remove lower engine compartment cover.
|
Remove front panelling – see operation "Front Panelling,
Remove and Install" in group "A".
Remove radiator – see operation "Radiator, Remove and
Install" in group "J".
For vehicles with air conditioning: Remove condenser – see
operation "Condenser, Remove and Install" in group "D".
Detach attaching parts (engine-dependent) from bracket for power
steering fluid reservoir and lay aside. Remove power steering fluid
reservoir (1) – see operation "Power Steering Fluid
Reservoir, Remove and Install".
Remove hydraulic modulator, see operation "Hydraulic Modulator,
Remove and Install or Replace (ABS 2SH/TC)" or "Hydraulic Modulator
with ABS Control Unit, Remove and Install (ABS 5.3/TC)" in group
"H".

Remove bracket for hydraulic modulator – see operation
"Hydraulic Modulator Bracket, Remove and Install or Replace" in
group "H".
|
Remove return line for steering gear from cooling loop. Open
clips on radiator crossmember (2) and on front frame side member
(1). Remove cooling loop forwards.
Install
Insert new cooling loop carefully and free of tension. Close
clips on radiator crossmember and on front frame side member.
Attach return line for steering gear to cooling loop.
Install bracket for hydraulic modulator – see operation
"Hydraulic Modulator Bracket, Remove and Install or Replace" in
group "H".
Install hydraulic modulator (4) – see operation "Hydraulic
Modulator, Remove and Install or Replace (ABS 2SH/TC)" or
"Hydraulic Modulator with ABS Control Unit, Remove and Install (ABS
5.3/TC)" in group "H".
Install power steering fluid reservoir (3) – see operation
"Power Steering Fluid Reservoir, Remove and Install". Attach
attaching parts to power steering fluid reservoir bracket.

For vehicles with air conditioning: Install condenser –
see operation "Condenser, Remove and Install (4 Cylinder Engine)"
or "Condenser, Remove and Install (6 Cylinder Engine)" in group
"D".
Install radiator – see operation "Radiator, Remove and
Install" in group "J".
Attach front panelling – see operation "Front Panelling,
Remove and Install" in group "A".
Install battery. Attach lower engine compartment cover.
Charge and bleed hydraulic system – see operation
"Hydraulic System, Charge and Bleed".
