Crankshaft, Remove and Install > < Compression, Check (X16XEL without Secondary Air System, Y16XE, Z16XE, X18XE1, Z18XE, Z18XEL)

Seal Ring - Rear Crankshaft, Replace  

Object Number: 616191 Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove drive disc or flywheel - see operation "Drive Disc, Remove and Install" or "Flywheel, Remove and Install".  

Edge out seal ring (1) with suitable tool - ensure that sealing surfaces are not damaged.  

Object Number: 616195 Size: DEFAULT  Clean   

Remove gasket remnants and clean sealing surfaces.  

Object Number: 616192 Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Lightly coat sealing lip of seal ring with silicon grease (white).  

Drive in seal ring with KM-635 (2) and KM-535 (3) in cylinder block.  

Install drive disc or flywheel - see operation "Drive Disc, Remove and Install" or "Flywheel, Remove and Install".
