Compression, Check Engine at operating temperature (oil temperature ≥ 80 ° C / 176 ° F).
 Remove, Disconnect Detach ignition cable cover from cylinder head cover. Remove spark plug connector with KM-836 and spark plugs with KM-194-E. Detach wiring harness plug from DIS ignition module. Remove fuel pump relay - see operation "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install (X 18 XE, X 20 XEV)" or "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install (C 20 SEL, C 22 SEL)". Notice: Use compression recorder with rubber cone and measuring range up to 1750 kPa (17.5 bar).
 Inspect Actuate starter for approx. 4 seconds with throttle valve completely open - speed 300 rpm. The pressure difference between the individual cylinders should not exceed 100 kPa (1 bar).
 Install, Connect Install fuel pump relay - see operation "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install (X 18 XE, X 20 XEV)" or "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install (C 20 SEL, C 22 SEL)". Connect wiring harness plug to DIS ignition module. Install spark plugs with KM-194-E - tightening torque 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft. Connect spark plug connector and attach ignition cable cover to cylinder head cover - tightening torque 3 Nm / 2.2 lbf. ft.
