Radiator, Remove and Install (Without Air Conditioning)  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Disconnect wiring harness plug (3) from fan motor. Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) from thermoswitch.   Unclip cable bundle (2) and (4) out of fan housing.   Remove both fastening bolts (5) and carefully remove fan housing together with fan motor upwards.

  Remove, Disconnect   

Detach lower radiator hose (3) from radiator - collect escaping coolant. Detach compensation tank coolant hose (1) from radiator. Detach upper radiator hose (5) from radiator.   For version with automatic transmission: Lever off retaining clip (6) from quick fitting using suitable screwdriver and detach fluid cooling lines - collect escaping transmission fluid.   Detach left and right retaining brackets (2) and (4) from air deflector panel. Carefully remove radiator upwards.     Install, Connect    When replacing radiator: Transfer thermoswitch with new gasket.   Carefully insert radiator into lower mounts and secure on air deflector panel using the two retaining brackets on left and right.

  Install, Connect   

Attach lower radiator hose, upper radiator hose and compensation tank coolant hose to radiator.  

For version with automatic transmission: Connect oil cooler lines and fasten with retaining clips.  

Insert fan housing with fan motor into lower brackets and attach to radiator using the two fastening bolts.  

Clip cable bundle to fan housing. Connect wiring harness plug to fan motor and to thermoswitch.  

Top up cooling system - see operations "Cooling System, Top up and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".  

Check transmission fluid level - see operation "Transmission Fluid, Top up and Correct" in group "K".
