Lower Part of Oil Pan, Remove (20 NEJ)  

  Remove, Disconnect   

If present: detach wiring harness plug (1) from dynamic oil level control sensor. Remove retaining ring (2).   Remove front exhaust pipe - see operation "Exhaust Manifold, Remove and Install".   Remove oil drain bolt - collect escaping engine oil.   Remove lower part of oil pan (3) from upper part of oil pan - if present, pull plug connection for dynamic oil level control sensor out of upper part of oil pan.     Clean    Remove gasket remnants and clean sealing surfaces.

  Install, Connect   

If present: insert plug connection (1) for dynamic oil level control sensor with new seal ring into upper part of oil pan and secure with retaining ring (2).   Attach lower part of oil pan with new fastening bolts and new gasket to upper part of oil pan - tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft. + 30 ° 1) .   Install oil drain bolt in lower part of oil pan with new seal ring - tightening torque - 10 Nm / 7.5 lbf. ft.   If present: connect wiring harness plug to dynamic oil level control sensor.   Install front exhaust pipe - see operation "Exhaust Manifold, Remove and Install".   Fill engine oil up to "MAX" at dipstick.

1)  Re-cut thread before re-use and insert with screw locking compound (red). The installation time including torque check is max. 5 min.
